2023 MLS Regular Season: FC Dallas 1-0 Inter Miami
La Rosanegra dropped a fifth straight match and second consecutive at home en route to falling to 12th place in the Eastern Conference
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Inter Miami’s rapid free-fall down the Eastern Conference standings continues after a fifth consecutive loss and second straight at home.
Jesus Ferreira scored in the 27th minute, and that proved enough as FC Dallas handed Inter Miami a 1-0 loss at Drv Pnk Stadium on Saturday night. The defeat dropped the Herons to 2-0-5 on the year, pushed them down to 12th place in the table, and marked the fourth time this season that they have been held without a goal.
One of the biggest and most controversial moments in the game came in second-half stoppage time. Inter Miami had won a potential game-tying penalty kick after a foul on Jean Mota in the 18-yard box, but head referee Filip Dujic waved it off after reviewing the play.
Inter Miami now enters a bye week, and will not play again until April 22 when the team travels to face off with the Houston Dynamo.
