Inter Miami tied a franchise record for consecutive defeats on Saturday night by dropping a 1-0 decision away to the Houston Dynamo. Daniel Steres made the difference at Shell Energy Stadium, scoring in the 72nd minute off a deflected shot that extended the slumping South Florida side’s current losing streak to six games.
The shutout defeat, which saw newcomers Dixon Arroyo and Kamal Miller start for Inter Miami, sunk Phil Neville’s men to 14th place in the Eastern Conference with a 2-0-6 record.
Inter Miami continues its busy stretch of three games in eight days on Wednesday night, when La Rosanegra visits crosstown foe Miami FC for the second-ever Miami Clasico in the U.S. Open Cup.
