FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Inter Miami’s historic winless run just will not end.
Last-placed Inter Miami saw its poor run of form continue on Tuesday night after coming from behind late to tie the Columbus Crew, 2-2, at Drv Pnk Stadium. Josef Martinez provided a spectacular 90th-minute equalizer, unleashing a powerful bicycle kick to rescue a point for the South Florida side that is now without a victory in nine consecutive MLS matches.
The July 4 draw left Inter Miami in the Eastern Conference basement with a 5-2-13 record. The team is nine points shy of the final playoff spot.
There is no rest for the weary as far as Inter Miami is concerned, as the team travels to take on D.C. United on Saturday at Audi Field in Washington, D.C.
