2023 MLS Regular Season: Inter Miami 2-1 Columbus Crew
Leonardo Campana bagged a pair of first-half goals to help the South Florida side snap a franchise-record winless run
It took eight games and nearly two months, but Inter Miami is finally back in the win column.
Inter Miami snapped a franchise-record winless run on Saturday by using a first-half brace from Leonardo Campana to edge the Columbus Crew, 2-1, at Lower.com Field in Columbus, Ohio. Campana struck in the seventh and 42nd minutes of the road tilt, giving the South Florida side just enough for its first victory since March 4.
The result snapped a seven-game run across all competitions without a triumph, ended a taxing three-match-in-eight-days stretch on a positive note, and improved Inter Miami to 3-0-6 on the season.
Phil Neville’s men will return home for their next affair, which will be on May 6 at Drv Pnk Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, against Atlanta United.
