2023 MLS Regular Season: New York Red Bulls 1-0 Inter Miami
The South Florida side's losing streak extended to four games via the fourth home defeat of the season
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Things are getting uglier for Inter Miami, and the calls for Phil Neville’s exit louder.
Last-placed Inter Miami lost a fourth consecutive league match on Wednesday night, falling, 1-0, to the New York Red Bulls at Drv Pnk Stadium. Tom Barlow provided the decisive tally in the weather-delayed match, scoring on a 52-minute rebound after a penetrating Lukinhas dribble and shot.
The defeat dropped Phil Neville’s side to 5-0-10 on the year and marked its fourth home loss in MLS play this season. The result also saw South Florida supporters unfurl a ‘Neville Out’ tifo immediately following Barlow’s game-winner in addition to booing substitute Harvey Neville during the few occasions that the right back touched the ball.
Inter Miami’s next match takes place on Saturday night, with La Rosanegra looking to get out of the Eastern Conference basement with a win over visiting D.C. United.
