Inter Miami suffered a sixth straight defeat on Saturday, falling, 4-0, to the Columbus Crew at Lower.com Field in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday night. Gyasi Zardes bagged a brace in the rout, and Pedro Santos contributed a goal and two assists.
The blowout loss left Inter Miami in 11th place in the Eastern Conference with 32 points. The Herons are still mathematically alive to reach the postseason, but the chances of making the playoffs are fading given that the team is currently eight points shy of the red line with five games left to play.
