Six different players scored as the Spanish club put on a show in a comprehensive friendly victory over the South Florida side
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Inter Miami head coach Phil Neville said on Monday that his team wanted to test itself against one of the best sides in the world.
Well, the result was not pretty.
Six different players found the back of the net for FC Barcelona on Wednesday night as the Spanish side pummeled Inter Miami to the tune of 6-0 in a friendly at Drv Pnk Stadium. Barcelona scored three goals in each half, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang netting the winner after 19 minutes.
Raphinha and Ansu Fati then added insurance tallies before halftime while Gavi, Memphis Depay, and Ousman Dembele joined in on the scoring fun in the second stanza.
Inter Miami, which returns to MLS action on Saturday away to New York City FC, went with a strong lineup to start the game before making heavy changes after the intermission.
