FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Inter Miami just did something it has never done before.
The team won a game by more than one goal.
Inter Miami posted its most convincing victory of the season on Saturday night, using a Rodolfo Pizarro brace and Robbie Robinson goal to beat Toronto FC, 3-1, at Drv Pnk Stadium. The triumph also marked the first time ever that the South Florida side has won back-to-back games while also giving the team a fourth consecutive home win.
The result, which saw Inter Miami take a 3-0 lead before conceding via an own goal, moved the team up into 11th place in the Eastern Conference. The Herons are now five points shy of the playoff line.
