Rodolfo Pizarro scored a 93rd-minute goal to lift Inter Miami to victory in a roller-coaster affair
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Inter Miami pulled off some late-game heroics in a second consecutive home game to come out on top against an Eastern Conference opponent, and this time it was Rodolfo Pizarro who came up with the game-winning magic.
Pizarro scored his first goal of the year in the 93rd minute to lift Inter Miami to a 3-2 home victory over the Chicago Fire at Drv Pnk Stadium on Wednesday night. The South Florida side rallied to the three points after falling behind early in the second half, with Robinson scoring a 62nd-minute equalizer before Pizarro clinically fired home in stoppage time.
The dramatic win moved 12th-placed Inter Miami to 19 points on the season, eight shy of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
