Sources: David Beckham’s son Romeo has signed with Fort Lauderdale CF
The versatile right-sided player could make his debut with the USL side this Saturday
A member of David Beckham’s family has joined the global superstar as part of the Inter Miami organization.
Sources have told Miami Total Futbol that Romeo Beckham, one of David’s four children, has signed a deal with USL League One side Fort Lauderdale CF and could make his professional debut as soon as in this Saturday’s home game vs. Chattanooga Red Wolves SC.
The teenaged Romeo just celebrated his 19th birthday with David and family in Miami on Wednesday, and his week could be made all the more memorable if he plays in his first pro game this weekend at Drv Pnk Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Sources have told Miami Total Futbol that Romeo has been training with both Inter Miami and Fort Lauderdale CF in recent weeks. He is said to be a versatile right-sided player capable of playing both in the attack and defense.
Romeo, who also spent some time in 2020 training with the USL side, has been seen in market and at Inter Miami games alongside dad David since the former England national team midfielder’s return to South Florida earlier this summer. The two even kicked the ball around on the field at Drv Pnk Stadium after the Herons beat Toronto FC, 3-1, on August 21.

Romeo will not be the only son of a famed Englishman on the Fort Lauderdale CF roster. Inter Miami head coach Phil Neville’s son Harvey signed with the team earlier this year.
Fort Lauderdale CF is currently in third place in the USL League One table, boasting a 7-9-4 record.
Nepotism apparently well and good over there.
